I am a British artist of Nigerian heritage, trained at the Nsukka School (University of Nigeria), and active in London’s art scene since the late 1980s. Much of my work blends vibrant colours and textures with an impasto technique, drawing on narratives inspired by my African heritage as well as my philosophical and spiritual interests.
Over the course of my career I have worked across a range of mediums; from oil to acrylic, pastel to watercolour, establishing distinctive figurative and abstract styles. Selected pieces from my collection of work over the last four decades are available to view on this website.
Since 1984, I’ve exhibited widely in Nigeria, France, Germany and the UK, and my paintings are held in collections across Europe, North America, and Africa. I also serve as co‑founder and Vice President of the Nigeria Art Society UK (NASUK), a network of leading Nigerian‑heritage artists in the diaspora.
